Beverley is a character in the Haunted Boston RPG.
* * *
Beverley Bathstone is a 37-year-old woman from Colon, Michigan. This unfortunately-named town is deemed (at least locally) as the Magic Capitol of the World. She is 5'10" with a frail figure. She is single, but claims to have a long-distance boyfriend to whom she writes lengthy letters by hand. In her youth, she was a classic middle child, prone to tantrums and odd behavior to get the attention of her monstrously large family, most of whom live in Michigan or Wisconsin. The family business was a monument company called Bathstone Headstones, which prompted her interest in mortuary science. Her teen years were spent on all things morbid. One could speculate that Robert Smith is still too much of an influence on her hair styles.
She obtained her degree from the University of Michigan before moving to the east coast for an internship. She has worked for GHC for a little over a month following the unfortunate death of the last mortician, whom she is convinced haunts the house on Dorchester Street right under the noses of the technicians.
Beverley is a little bit coo-coo for cocoa puffs. She is messy and forgetful. She talks too much. She is a fervent believer in all things supernatural and has hinted at a previous encounter with alien life forms and a near-death experience where she saw the other side. Just how credible any of those stories are is up for debate. What matters is that Beverley believes them.
Her favorite hobby is reading. She is friendly but can hold one hell of a grudge.
Her primary motivation for working at GHC is to establish herself as a mortician so that she can open her own business in the future. She secretly hoards tiny pieces of evidence of the goings-on in GHC.
